Popcorn balls are the ultimate in sweet and salty treats. The ooey gooey marshmellows and salt from the popcorn combine for a taste kids and adults can agree on. One night before dinner the kids and I followed the recipe mentioned below. This recipe of courtesy of Kraft as seen on their website.
Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows, vanilla and salt; cook until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly.
Place popcorn in large bowl. Add marshmallow mixture; mix lightly to coat.
Shape into 10 (3-inch) balls with lightly greased hands. Place on sheets of waxed paper; let stand until firm.
We all really enjoyed these but I would either use less marshmallows next time or more popcorn to cut down some the gooeyness. I found the popcorn balls harder to eat because all the marshmallow.
