Remember the Fisher-Price Smart Cycle? Oh , come on you know you do. The exercise bike to beat all bikes. It was a kids educational exercise bike. Parents had to plug the bike into their TV with the red and white RCA cables. After that we had to beg kids to get off their bikes. In between sessions kids wouldn’t stop asking for more games for their bike. Yep, that one!
Well it’s back! Score one for Fisher-Price for keeping up with the latest technology trends and annoucing this badboy at CES 2017 earlier this week.
The new Fisher-Price Think and Learn Smart Cycle has gone high tech with its latest iteration of the pedal to learn system. As seen in the picture to the right the bike comes with an tablet mount atttachment located on the front of the bike. Instead of having to ceonnect cables to your TV all you need is bluetooth. The bike connects via bluetooth to tablets, Android TV, and Apple TV.
“They’re learning and mastering content as they pedal, fast or slow, forwards or backwards,” Amber Pietrobono, a spokeswoman with Fisher-Price, told CNNMoney. “It’s also how they level up in the games.”
As per usual, the Smart Cycle comes with one free app. I imagine instructions included with the bike will tell you to where to go, and how to search for the free app for your respective device. In addition to the free app, Fisher Price has said that there are four other apps that work with the system. The new Smart Cycle will retail for $150, and the non-free apps are 4.99 each.
I can definitely see my little guy riding this during the hot summer months here in Alabama. I can’t wait test it out when it hits stores this fall.
