First I’d like to introduce you to a new Amazon Seller, ArtColors. Ok, now that the introduction is out-of-the-way let’s get on with this review.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered these markers. I mean they didn’t have any reviews yet, so I figured I’d give them a shot. I didn’t have anything to lose by ordering them to try in exchange for a review. Now that I have made a few cute signs, and recorded a video review I have to say that I am in love with these liquid chalk markers.
Here is a run down of some of the major pros to buying these.
- non toxic
- dust free
- washable on non porous surfaces
- not chalky or streaky
Priming took a little under a minute for each marker, which is understandable for the type of marker I was working with. Once the liquid chalk markers were primed I was ready to create. When I started drawing with them I noticed that I didn’t have to go back over the drawing much because of a missed area. Heavyweight construction paper works great with the ArtColors Liquid Chalk markers. The colors look vibrant and the drying time was short, approximately 1-3 minutes.
I had even more fun testing the markers out on my son’s double-sided chalkboard dry erase board easel. Writing on both surfaces was smooth even though I was writing vertically. These would be great for my kids to use in our homeschool studies. I’m sure my 4-year-old would love to practice writing his name, drawing and word work using these vivid markers. The reversible chisel/broad tip makes the ArtColors Liquid Chalk markers even more valuable. It’s like getting 24 markers instead of 12 and there is a substantial difference in the way text and drawings look when comparing the two. My 11-year-old daughter who is an aspiring artist is going to fall in love with these. I can’t wait to see what she creates with them. Unfortunately for her, they are a stocking stuffer.
The liquid chalk markers by ArtColors are an excellent addition to anyone who likes art or arts and crafts. I can see these being a go to art utensil for art teachers too. These are great for kids of all ages because they are not messy. Honestly, to get messy with these you would have to touch the tip of the marker. Thanks to the cap design these markers are not going to leak. Clean up is a breeze with just a little water, I included a drop of dishwashing liquid for good measure. The chalkboard and the dry erase board showed no signs of leftover liquid chalk when I finished cleaning them.
I need to put another box of these in my Amazon shopping cart. The little guy is going to be jealous of his sister’s awesome new markers.
