Welcome to Week 1 of your freely compiled homeschool reading program for kids ages four to five. I find that this works well for upper preschool age, transitional kindergarten and kindergarten age kids. You can modify the activities a bit to suit the curriculum for a three year old if needed. Each weekly post is split into several pages to make the daily assignments easy to follow without mistakenly following the wrong day. The weekly posts being seprated into multiple pages also allows for easier prep work to print out the worksheets. Each song, Day 1 Book and Day 2 book are links to YouTube videos for books and songs listed in the McGraw-Hill Treasures Reading Kindergarten Curriculum.
Making the worksheets reusable via dry erase sheets/sleeves or even page protectors is an invaluable asset to this curriculum compilation. By doing this you allow the worksheets to be reused for extra practice and it reduces the chances of the worksheets getting damaged.
