Welcome to Week 2 of your freely compiled homeschool reading program for kids ages 3-5. The chart listed below is structured in a way so that you know each day exactly what information is going to be covered. It seems like a lot of work but the kids I’ve tested it on loved it. It kept them busy during a 3-4 hour homeschool day. Each song, Day 1 Book and Day 2 book are links to YouTube videos for books and songs listed in the McGraw-Hill Treasures Reading Kindergarten Curriculum.
Making the worksheets reusable via dry erase sheets/sleeves is an invaluable asset to this curriclum compilation. By doing this you allow the worksheets to be reused for extra practice and it reduces the chances of the worksheets getting damaged. If you need help deciding on what to purchase so that you can do this take a look at the affiliate links below.
*A Note About External Links*
All of the links listed on this curriculum page are external, meaning you will leave the
Ruby the Geek website to download the material needed from elsewhere. If the external link is to a blog only the title of the blog will be stated. This gives credit to the original creator and let’s you the user know where you are going. Links to textbook publisher websites, Leveled Readers, workbooks, crafts or activities will have the name of the curriculum stated, or the name of the website. All of these links are kid friendly. YouTube links Day 1-2 reading assignments and song/poem of the day contain other links that may take children to videos that are not suitable for child viewing purposes. Some videos may contain ads. These ads can be closed by clicking the X box in the corner of the ad. These videos were chosen because the words and pictures from the book are viewable at the same time.
