It’s Black Friday and the turkey meal has been cooked and consumed. We are currently decorating the house to be family Christmas and big dog friendly.
Last year at Target we found foam Christmas decoration collections. Each bag contained enough materials to make at 5-20 ornaments depending on what you chose. The family picked out one bag of gingerbread men and now we have personalised foam gingerbread decorations for years to come.
Due to having two large dogs in the house (pitbull mix, black lab mix) we are slightly afraid of decorating a traditional tree.Thankfully, Ehubs found mini trees at Target. They are located at the front in the dollar bins.
Our local Goodwill store also has Christmas decorations on sale at the front of the store. Santa Bear and the Blue Moose were only ninety-nine cents each.
Honestly, my favorite Christmas decorations are anything we have created last year. Last year Geek Boy was only two so we did some very easy craft projects throughout the month. This year my plan is to increase the difficulty of his crafting a bit. I will be letting him do more cutting with his preschool scissors, more coloring, and placing of objects. All of this will help his dexterity, hand-eye coordination and a few fine motor skills.
